What type of content should I create the most of?
Do you want to know what type of content to create the most of? Then we need to talk about evergreen content.
Evergreen content is content that will still be relevant & valuable in the FUTURE.
Very often we look at a post as a message we want to get today or for this week. It’s about a specific program, fundraiser or holiday & it has a clear expiration date.
Evergreen content on the other hand is timeless. It’s content around topics that ppl will always find educational or inspiring.
Here are some benefits of evergreen
1️⃣ It’s great for newcomers.
If someone lands on your page & scrolls a bit & they find valuable & interesting posts they’ll want to follow & it will also help them understand what you do in a broad sense.
2️⃣ You get more for your work.
Ppl will continue to like, save, and enjoy your content long after you post, especially with a good hashtag strategy.
(I have evergreen posts that keep bringing in new followers & shares daily!)
3️⃣ You can repurpose or reshare your evergreen content so you save time & effort when it comes to content creation.
One more thing, evergreen content is even more valuable for blogs & can really help you increase traffic on your site. So you’re going to want to repurpose your best evergreen posts to blogs & vice versa!
Don’t worry, I’m not telling you not to post seasonal or event specific content on your feed just to be mindful to include as much evergreen as possible in your strategy.
& if you want to go a bit overboard with content on a specific event or fundraiser, go for it on your stories.
