Don’t make this fundraising mistake

Nobody wants to help you reach your fundraising goal.

It’s not inspiring or moving that your nonprofit wants to raise 100k

What is inspiring? Visualizing the exact impact my contribution will make

Instead of donate generously to help us reach our goal of 100k, say your donation of $50 will provide school supplies for a student in need

Or our goal of 100k will provide a classroom of girls with education for a year

Remember your budget and goal aren’t my problems.

but I might want to make the important problems you solve my problem.

I love a big goal but remember it’s not about the big goal, it’s about the details that that big goal will accomplish.

I know how excited you are about your big audacious goal but ask yourself this. Do you want them to visualize 100k?

Or do you want me to visualize an actual human being helped?
